Learn what's being built on Bubble, and what you can build, too

What kind of apps have been built on Bubble?

It’s a question I see all the time.

In the forum, from future students, on YouTube and Facebook, via email…

People want to know what you can and can’t build on Bubble and are curious about things like:

Whether you’re looking for inspiration from other entrepreneurs, putting together a long-term plan for your app, or wondering whether it's worth building a custom solution yourself at all...here are key examples of different types of apps built on Bubble, plus important details for building your own Bubble app.

1. Escape the City

Dom, founder of EscapetheCity.org (and CNCA Fast Track student), runs a UK startup helping people escape their corporate jobs. While the startup isn’t new, the micro-site he built on Bubble is, and it now serves as a supplemental component of the startup itself.

He describes his Bubble app as being “sort of like Glassdoor, but for progressive companies.” Users can nominate companies to be profiled, and companies themselves can submit their own information to let employees vote on them. You can see more of Dom’s story here.

2. Zoidii

Jeff, founder of Zoidii (and CNCA Built to Scale alumni), created his app to help companies track and manage their maintenance operations. What was previously done via pen, paper, and excel for many companies in Jeff's industry can now be transferred over to a streamlined app that's customized for their specific processes.

3. Marlow

Marlow co-founder, Mary, created her startup using Bubble. It “offers coaching and resources to help individuals make progress toward their goals in a more effective manner.” Marlow connects users with coaches to help improve professional skills. To get started, users sign up, complete an onboarding questionnaire, and are then taken to their dashboard area, where they can connect with their coach. Multiple subscription plans are available.

You can read more about Marlow and its co-founder’s story here.

4. Interio

Interio was built by founder Darius Baltunis (another Built to Scale alumni), who operates his own service-based business providing custom curtain and blind solutions. The problem was, his business was relying on software that didn't fully serve it. So, he set out to create his own operations app.

5. REPStracker

Kirsten (CNCA Built to Scale alumni) founded REPStracker as a side business. Her app helps real estate investors track and document their processes for compliance reasons. Kirsten moved on to wrap her web-app to make it available for download in the app stores. Her business launched quickly, successfully, and continues to grow.

That being said, keep in mind that a significant portion of Bubble apps are built to be internal company tools — which means you won’t be able to find examples of them online.

In most cases, Bubble can handle whatever it is you’re building because you won’t be relying on Bubble alone. You’ll be using the platform in combination with other powerful tools you can integrate with.
